Frequently asked questions
How do I measure for a return air grille?
Measure the duct opening in the wall, floor or ceiling, not the old cover. A grille listed as 6x30 fits a 6″ x 30″ opening. The faceplate is larger so it overlaps the edges. If you only have the old cover's outside size (for example 32 x 8), the duct is usually about 2″ smaller each way, so 30 x 6. See our duct measuring guide.
Can I use these on the floor?
Yes. The 5 mm solid steel is heavy duty and walkable, with no flex or rattle. On floors the grille simply drops into place; on walls and ceilings it fixes with the pre-drilled holes and the matching screws included.
Do they work as a cold air return and a hot air return?
Yes. They suit cold air returns, hot air returns and general ventilation openings in homes and light commercial spaces.
Which colours are available?
Black and White, both with a durable powder-coated finish. You can also repaint the grille with metal spray paint to match your décor.
